In April 2007, Travis & Katie graduated from BYU. Travis with a BS in Facilities Management. Katie in Russian & Home & Family Living, emphasis in Clothing Construction. Travis currently works for the LDS Church as an Assist. Facilities Manager at the Triad Center in Salt Lake. Katie is a Homemaker, spending her days with our two greatest investments.

Katie and I met in our singles ward at BYU. One week after our first date (1st was September 4, 2003) we were 'going out.' Two weeks later we were unofficially engaged and 1 week later it was official. We were married in the Idaho Falls Temple December 19, 2003.

Christian Vance was born October 21, 2004 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah. Katie and I were both going to school full-time. Surprisingly, she and I both got some of the best grades of our college careers that semester.

Braxton Paul was born September 27, 2006 at Orem Community Hospital. Katie and I were still students at the time, although Katie had taken that semester off. Times were still tough, but we got through ok (As Braxton is proof).

Submitting to the Will of the Savior
“The submission of one’s will is really the only uniquely personal thing we have to place on God’s altar...the many other things we give to God, however nice they may be to us, are actually things He has already given us, and He has loaned them to us. But when we begin to submit ourselves by letting our wills be swallowed up in God’s will, then we are really giving something to Him. And that hard doctrine lies at the center of discipleship.
